What are Textile flatbed digital printers ?

In textile digital printing,  the printing head sprays water-based ink on fabric parts, previously treated with primer (dark textile or others except cotton)  then placed on a printing support (sleeve board).

Artwork to print is imported in the image processing software (RIP), then operator can start printing according to selected mode (white base + color for dark fabrics, colors for clear ones)

Printing head moves from left to right, spraying ink just on the desired location. Then the machine moves backwards and go on printing.

Once printed, the pattern is heated (hot press or tunnel) to fix inks inside textile fibers .

Advantages and uses of textile digital printing

Textiles can be printed according to several techniques  (screen-printing, transfer, sublimation, embroidery..) but digital printing is the most flexible and versatile one, allowing to print 1 piece as well as complete series, on various dark or clear materials.

One major interest of Eagle range of machines is their profile with easy access to the 3 sides for loading/unloading during printing process.

Also, with their large working sizes, it is possible to print large sized items (such as bath sheets, etc  …)
