Several techniques can be used to customize T shirts : screen printing, flex transfer, embroidery, sublimation, digital DTG printing.
• Screen printing is interesting for large series but processing steps are longer and printed details are not as fine as digital printed ones
• Flex transfers are economical but complex for detailed logos.
• Embroidery produces elegant results but working with 4 color logos or images is very difficult.
• Sublimation can be made only on polyester material
• With digital printing, it is possible to customize a single unit as well as large series, with lower cost price.
Eagle range interest is versatility with the ability to print from A5 to 1300 x 1500 format with the Eagle 130 model (example jeans, bath towel ...)
If necessary, fabric should be pre-treated (dark t-shirt or materials other than cotton ).
Press with hot press.
Print with Eagle TX printer
Then, marking should be fixed with a hot press or a drying tunnel.
With DTG printing, it is possible to print any fabric : cotton, lycra, leather, viscose, jersey, polyester ... however some of them require special pre-treatement, applied with a low pressure gun or in a pre-treatment cabin, to make inks adhere to material.
Printing speed depends on expected print quality, marking sizes and empty spaces.
Only tests allow to validate actual output according to desired results.
On average, with Eagle TX printer range, it is possible to print 40 /50 clear T shirts or 20-25 dark ones in one hour.
Light color T-shirts require neither white undercoat, nor pretreatment.
With dark textiles or other materials except cotton, it is necessary to spray a product and fix it for a few seconds in a heating press, prior to printing.
